<p> Society and family always play a major part in developing a personality of a person. I grew up in a society where I learned that I will make mistakes whether or not I have someone to guide me and it is important to look for solution rather than setback.Throughout my life Ive gone through many difficulties, but I have never lost hope to be a complete person and I learned lessons from the troubles that I suffered and working hard has been always motto of my life.
My parents came to the USA knowing very little English and struggled to find the job. Shortly after my arrival, I realized why my parents are working hard. When they tell me the stories about my life back in Nepal, I feel that a long-term education is important for me. After comprehending the struggles of my family, I learned that life is not easy without an education. My parents hard work always makes me feel like I should work hard to reach my goal of becoming a successful engineer, which will allow me to help my family.
As we all know, moving to different places is always difficult, especially for teenagers like myself. Before my sophomore year I moved to the USA. This was perhaps the most significant event of my life because this was a completely new environment for me. I wanted to go back to my country just days after arriving. First few weeks without doing anything were hard for me. However, my cousins told me about the lifestyle of this place and this made me feel better. I still remember the first day of school when I could simply not get used to the new environment. After few weeks of struggles, I realized that in high school, to make new friends, one needs to participate in extracurricular activities like sports. My love towards soccer dragged me toward friendships and helped me feel comfortable in school. The first few days of practice after making the team, were difficult because I could not cooperate with my teammates. My teammates and coach helped me fill more comfortable in the team which allowed me to play better.<br>
Before going to school, I really wanted to move back to my country, but school helped me forget all those stressful days that I went through. I am able to settle here perfectly. After several months in the USA I learned life is not easy. To have better life, one needs to be active. My dream always suggests me to be a successful engineer. I do believe Engineering paves a path towards my future and will fulfill my parents dream. My cousins who are in engineering always share their experiences and make me smile listening to them and believe that my next step is best for me and my family.
Seventeen years of my experience make me realize that simple mistake can be costly. I am grateful of where I came from, and what I have been through. This is merely a beginning; I hope going to college will help me learn more about life. My main priority now is to go to college and pursue my career in Engineering.</p>
