<p>so i’ll just have to suck it up and become leaders in mock trial speech and debate and probably a few others? There is no leadership position in Science Olympiad and people will KILL me if I don’t do it next year. yeah like none of the other things that I do include a leadership position. Should I look around for some decently interesting internships? Yeah there is really not that much that I could become a leader of now as a sophomore.</p>

<p>Science, Math, MUN–everyone does those. The museum thing looks like the most interesting thing on the list–what exactly do you do for it? You could use that to set yourself apart, especially because it seems like a contrast with the other stuff you list.</p>
<p>yeah for the museum thing I’m working with an old African American Jazz musician and basically doing an oral history thing with him along with many other older people in our community. In a few weeks I’ll probably be working on making an electronic exhibit of African history. Also, I’ve put forth the idea of having an after school program much like Hebrew school for the Jewish youth but for African and African American cultural knowledge. There will be in that a linguistics program for various widespread Sub-saharan languages like Igbo, Yoruba, Fulani, Hausa, Twi, among others maybe also Swahili, Zulu and Xhosa because they are pretty readily available from the Foreign Service Institute. There will also be a study session devoted to learning of African spirituality and the derivative religions in the Caribbean and Brazil. This is probably the extent to which I’ll take this.
I’m also doing some domestic experimentation with some weird physics stuff and there is a significant although not huge likelihood that I will find something pretty grande in the next two years.
I’m starting to do some writing on current cultural and social world issues that I might be able to publish next year or so that may help… i suppose</p>
