<p>I’m a sophomore this upcoming year. I was hoping to take the ACT this year for “fun” to try it out since I can choose which ACT to send to schools or decide if I’d rather just take the SAT.</p>

<p>Once I take the SAT, since I have to take SAT II’s, I can’t cancel the SAT I’s if they are bad so I thought that I would try and take the ACT first.</p>

<p>Do people take the ACT Sophomore year as a “tryout” run and is it ok to do so? Do you get to choose which ACT to send to colleges?</p>

<p>It’s fine. And yes, you choose which ACT you send. Of course, if you have your first score sent, they’ll send it. Most schools look at your highest test date anyway.</p>
