Is this overdone?

I have a unique (Indian) name that many people mispronounce. I start off talking about how I used to dislike it and wanted a simpler, more common name, but over time grew to appreciate my name and then expand on how I don’t want to simply “blend in” anymore…my name illustrates my individuality and unique personality. I started writing a rough draft but I don’t know if this idea is kind of cliche.

Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

Sounds a little cliche, but if it’s done right it would be great.

thanks, anyone else?

I see it as a kind of cliche - don’t try to tie your name too hard and make it an analogy of your life, that’s VERY overdone.
I think it might be better if you make your name part of your diverse life. Like if you say that your name “illustrates” your individuality, it’s very very very very predictable.

I’ve heard of two other people doing something like that, and that’s only from my school. So if say, two people from every school do something like that, then it’ll probably be pretty common.

super cliche. I’ve read many variations
