Is this possible?

Hey!
I am on a search for the perfect college. I am not sure if this can be done, but any info you can give me will hopefully make my college search a little more narrowed. Here’s a list of qualities:

Ice Hockey (M) is a must!
A view of some body of water
Communications major
Costs less than $25,000 (unless it has good financial aid)
Is in an urban or suburban area
Has a small faculty and student ratio

I am transferring from Cottey College, so if there are any transfer scholarships or an articulation agreement, that would optimal.

Thanks for helping!

Hey there cotteygirl,

I must say, you have some pretty specific requirements there! To help you out, I’m going to do a quick search on collegeboard.com for all of those requirements except the water one and saw what comes up.

One that came up that might be appealing is Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Appears to be near a river, but I don’t know if it’s overlooking a body of water.

<a href=“Page not found | Aquinas College”>Page not found | Aquinas College;

Another is Geneva College, located in Beaver Falls, PA (so I assume it’s near some form of water).

http://www.geneva.edu/page/index

Another (but no idea about the water, although they have a picture of people walking on the beach in their slideshow) is Gordon College.

http://www.gordon.edu/

Check those options out! Some look like good matches for you.

Best of luck!

Gordon College is on the North Shore of Massachusetts, very close to the Atlantic Ocean. (It is also a Christian college - don’t know if that matters to you.)

Boston U or Boston C? Not sure about whether there are water views at each place, nor how much goes in scholarships. Good hockey, though.

University of Wisconsin - Madison?

Conforms to each except student: prof ratio

BC - not much by way of water views. BU - definitely - much of its campus is right on the banks of the Charles River, with Cambridge on the other side. BUT both are rather expensive. And the student-professor ratio may not be what you’re looking for.

Not to mention grade deflation.

COLGATE-

Not sure if it has good financial aid, but it has everything else you asked for.

Colgate doesn’t have Communications. Niether does Boston University. Christian colleges okay by me!

Thanks for helping guys!

Cornell or Syracuse?

IF YOU’RE SEARCHING FOR THE PERFECT COLLEGE, THERE’S SO SUCH THING.

Once you figure that out, then you can come up with a college list.
