Is this really possible?

I read about someone taking 30 practice tests and reading through SAT prep books and scoring a 2390 on it. I don’t know what her score was before, but if I took 30 practice tests and read this huge-ass book would it be possible to get in elite college range? like 2200+

Also is this possible for the subject tests too because i totally didn’t pay attention in world history or us history so those unless they are easy are out of the question ah ha. oh and i genuinely suck at math., although on the psat that was my highest just because it was hella easy.

You never know until you try, but if you “genuinely suck at math” and have a habit of not paying attention, reading study guides and taking lots of practice tests can only help so much. Also, a high SAT alone will not get you into an “elite” college.
What’s your GPA like?

The answer to your question is yes. I used to score 1700s range before prepping, and after quite a few practice tests I am scoring 2200+.

However, some people prep and don’t get better, so it also depends on the individual.

I got a 181 on the PSAT, and I don’t pay attention in US History because I’m not interested in it. I guess you can call me narrow-minded in that respect, but I just can’t seem to care enough to read the book (nor can anyone except maybe 3 people in the 50 person class, but that doesn’t make them any better :P)

Although I might know more than I think because I did some practice questions on the Collegeboard and got most of them right for the US history

Anwyays thanks, I’m making sure to prepare hard for the SAT just because it would help a lot

P.S. GPA is a 3.7 although I thought it was a 3.9, but only by my school’s grading system (false hope is false, thanks high school grading system). 92 is 4.0 for some reason. Not expecting to get into any elite colleges but I’m going to try my best anyways after really messing up with my grades and EC’s before a year ago, and SAT will only help my chances

Take a practice USH SATII to see where your at. If your scores are sucky just scru it and take the Math 1.
