<p>yes, they use that grading system. A, A- are all meaningless. The only thing that matters is whether you got a 3.5 (basically a A-), 4.0, 3.0, 2.5, 2.0, etc. However, the grading method may vary for each class. I know a lot of science courses love to use the bell curve. In the case of Chem 142, the median is between 2.6-2.8.</p>
