Topic: Whether personalized way of achieving things is good or not.

"[M]ore than one way " of undertaking an arduous task is a statement embraced by highly successful icons. Thomas Edison’s aberrant education in his youth paved his way to glory and Helen Keller’s one-of-a-kind learning method molded her into the renown figure for the physically disabled. Incorporating methods with one’s personal style, therefore leads to triumph. Edison and Keller validates the importance of individuality when attempting to achieve a goal.

Edison, whose unique way of learning was condemned by the public education, utilized his personalized learning style to accomplish many scientific breakthroughs. At an early age, Edison was castigated by his teacher as an idiotic, insolent boy who belonged in an insane asylum because of his incessant sometimes irrelevant questions. As a result, he continued his learning with the aid of his new teacher and mother, Nancy Edison. Edison, then tried to approach education in his own way. Although Edison broke free of the public education’s shackles, if he had failed to pursue education in his personalized way, Edison would most likely be rejected by the public and be left along to squander away his meaningless life. However, due to his curiosity-derived teaching, Edison invented the once-thought-impossible incandescent lightbulb, after he assiduously tested 100 materials for the filament; this discovery ushered in a new era for the industries. Edison, thus, achieved success at last. His education had formulated him into a persistent and even stubborn being and those characteristics jumpstarted his career.

Keller, physically disabled child at an early age due to a baleful fever, approached education in an unique way because of her condition. With the help of her tutor, Anne Sullivan, Keller learned Braille, sign language, and how to vocally speak using a method that was personalized for her. Keller’s teachings, thus, deviated from the norm. If Keller pursued the “normal way”, she would most likely have been sent to an insane asylum because the handicapped in her day were looked down upon. With this aberrant learning, Keller planted seeds of hope into other fellow disabled beings by going on a tour and giving speeches of hope and how she overcame her odds. Keller’s personal education indeed morphed her into the legendary figure that the world remember her as today.

As validated above, Edison and Keller teaches the significance of self-derived approach to a problem/obstacle. Edison’s question-derived learning method and Keller’s personalized education suitable for a physically disabled person granted their success. Deviating from the standard, then, open doors for success.

Bump!!!

Very good examples, language and sentence styles.

The only thing I suggest you could improve on (IF i’m right  ) is that you should develop your position more fully rather than absolute at the beginning. Also, you should discuss some counterexamples against your position and then state why those counterexamples are wrong and ineffective. That kind of writing will get you a 12.

I give this essay a 9
