Is this too far fetched?

I was interested in going to school in the Winter semester @ Mizzou in Columbia. But I have been in school in about six years. I’ve attended community college but I never finished the courses. Now, I’m attending a career college to get a diploma in Office Administrative Assistant work.

Looking back on high school, I wasn’t the best student. I would say I would have a C average.

Do I have a shot at getting accepted at that university, or is it all just a dream.?

Talon,
When you say you “never finished the classes at CC” does that mean you dropped out of all of the classes or just that you never completed your associate’s degree.

If it’s the later one, you will be treated as a transfer student at Mizzou admissions and, if you have decent grades in the CC courses, that will supercede your high school grades. The classes at the career college may or may not be accepted by Mizzou for credit. Call them and see. In fact, I’d suggest you make an appointment with an admissions rep at Mizzou, show them your transcript, and ask what your chances of admission would be. I do not think it is an unreasonable goal, but for questions like this you should go right to the source. Good luck!

I did complete a couple of classes but I don’t know if it’d be worth giving the prospective colleges my transcripts.

So, the best thing to do is fax my transcript from high school to an admissions rep and they’d tell me just how acceptable I am?

I never thought of that. I was just going to try to do it and see what happens.
