English major with a 3.68 uc trsnfer gpa trying to get into CAL, Davis, or Riverside. I really don’t want to waste any more money on csu app fees. Is it wise for me to avoid sending any apps to csu’s? I mean riverside is my safety (TAG certified).

Not to look down on Riverside or anything but with your GPA I’m sure you’ll at least get into Riverside, especially when you are TAG certified. The question is, is there any CSU’s you’d rather choose over Riverside? If there is, then I’d say it wouldn’t hurt to apply to one of 'em. If there isn’t any, then don’t bother. You have a really good chance at Davis and a fair chance at Cal.

At Cal the academic division that English is in has a 46% acceptance rate. So you have a decent shot.

dhl thanks for brining up the question of if i want to choose a csu over riverside. my answer is no btw thanks for helping save some money.

you actually have a fantastic shot at Cal

Cal (Cal is not an acronym…) is a good shot at WORST. I’d say you’re actually a match/safe match.

The absolute worst scenario I can envision is you getting into Davis.
