Is this worth putting in the "Additional Information" section of my Common App?

The public school I go to is not very good in terms of academics. The average SAT score is around a 900 and only 8% of students are proficient in math and reading standardized testing. The student environment is highly unmotivated. Even AP students don’t participate in classroom discussions. They simply aim for a 3 during AP tests. And this is not because the material is difficult, but because public Illinois universities have to accept 3’s for college credit. Also, despite the fact that my school has a decent number of AP classes, (around 30, I believe?) a large percentage of these classes cannot even be ran either because 1) no teacher is qualified to run the class or 2) not enough students take the class.

I was wondering is this worth explaining in my Common App? I don’t know if this will be reflected anywhere else but I also do not want to make it seem like I’m making excuses. I just feel as if my stats might not be very impressive at another school where students take academics seriously, but they are impressive considering what school I go to and what the rest of the students are like.

Thank you in advance

No. Your HS will send a school profile with your transcript so your academics will be viewed in the proper context.
