Is top 10% still reachable?

Freshman year I was 110 of 180 in my class
Sophomore year I went to 90 of 180

Is it possible that I can be in the top 10% with a challenging schedule and all A’s?

A&M and UT are my dream schools and as of right now it’s not looking too good.

I dont think so, mostly the ranks stay as they are.

We don’t know the dynamics at your school well enough to say with certainty, but I expect that it would not be realistically feasible unless many of your peers began to lose intelligence and/or motivation.

^or if Jeff Gillooly is a student at OP’s HS.

Like previously stated, many of the top ranked students would really need to lose interest simply to make room for others. (Nothing’s impossible, though!)

(It’s also common to see some classmates drop out when they turn 16 (or soon thereafter), making top 10% even more difficult to obtain.)
