Is transferring hard?

I am currently a senior in high school and have committed to Texas A&M college (enrolled in their Mays Business School). But recently, I really am not happy with my decision to go there and was wondering if it was hard to transfer to an out of state college like USC or UNC for their business programs? Would I have a better chance applying after my first year or second year? And would I have to retake the SAT? Any other advice would help.

No, it’s not hard. I’ve done it enough times.
It depends on both your grades and your school you’re applying to for when you should transfer.
If your HS grades were poor and the school you’re applying to for transfer requires HS grades, wait two years to transfer.
However, some schools will only allow first year transfers or a max of two years, so it’s something to look into.

Most colleges won’t accept the a retake of the SAT if you’ve been in college for more than one year.

My only advice is to plan ahead. Pin the instructors you want to write recommendations in advanced, and get to work on getting to know them better.
Make sure you’ve been adequately involved in at least one college EC.
And work on a reason of why you want to transfer. It’s a guaranteed essay on most applications.

Also, don’t focus only on transferring while in college or else your experience might end up being less than enjoyable. Lastly, make sure that you’re transferring to a school that’s a better fit for you.

I ended up transferring down. =/
