Is transferring to Northwestern from W&M possible?

Is transferring to Northwestern from W&M possible?

I have decided to transfer because i want to study industrial eng + marketing, but i will apply Northwestern as undecided or economics.

My HS GPA is about 3.7, I am an international, and AVG SAT-1800-1900.

DO i still have a chance to transfer to Northwestern from W & M? Do i have to take the SAT’s again? SAT I and II? or am i good enough as long as i get a decent gpa at W&M.

If i were to apply as a sophmore would it be unlikely to get in compared to applying as a

junior to Northwestern ?

or is there actually a great chance that if i finish my freshman year and apply with around 3.5-3.8 GPA i will get in?

I was thinking double major maybe in Marketing and Industrial eng(W&M does not have eng program)- maybe i am dreaming.

If you would like to transfer to NU, I would recommend you to apply as a sophomore transfer, since junior transfers, while exist, are rarer.
I would not recommend you to re-take the SAT, but do work as hard as you can at W&M. Re-taking the SAT would take too much time, which is unnecessary - and as long as you can prove yourself able at a good college, you don’t need the SAT any more.
One thing aside from the GPA is your recommendation - be sure to form a close bond with at least one of your professors, so they will write a touching, truthful and convincing recommendation when the time comes.

but is it really true that i do not have to take the SAT’s again?

I didn’t even take sat II, and i mean sat I scores are not superb.
