Is Trigonometry required for college?

I was thinking about taking AP Cal AB and AP Stats. However, I wouldn’t take trig. Is that a good idea?

If I’m not mistaken the conseptual learning you get in trig helps with calc. Doesn’t your school require trig prior to taking calc?

Trig is typically taught within a precalculus course. A little trig may also be taught within an honors algebra 2 course. There may be other math courses that include trig as well. Check the course descriptions in your school’s course catalog and also check what prerequisites are listed for AP calc.

Trig is typically included in the Algebra2H->PrecalculusH sequence, or in regular precalculus.
