I have about a 3.3 UW 3.5 W and a 25 on ACT, is there any chance OOS or is it really hard OOS to gain admission.

OOS has more chance of getting in to be honest… because OOS pays a lot more than in state kids. But you stats are pretty low compared to the average acceptance stats. Get your GPA up & aim for 30+ on the ACT or 1900+ on SATs.

^in some perspective that is true but OOS have higher requirements for GPA/SAT to meet than in state. I would still say in state have a easier time getting in then OOS.
Your GPA is kinda low and like stated above get that ACT score up. Also make sure you have EC…don’t need tons but they should be meaningful to you in that they aren’t just clubs that you join do some activity and are just another head in the club photo. If that ACT goes and lets say your GPA stays the same you would have a shot. At the moment its kind of a reach…but don’t lose hope since you could have other things that make up for this. Also work on that essay, put your heart and soul into it.
Good Luck To You

OOS students pay more than in-state because their parents aren’t paying taxes in california. so i wouldn’t say that UCD is more likely to accept OOS students just because their tuition is higher. keep in mind it is a public university

Your act is consider low. You have to remember oos students need to have a 3.4+ wgpa in order to be eligible to apply. Try to get your ACT to a 1900+ SAT score. Also if you’re good in a particular subject, I’d suggest you take the SAT 2 subject test even though its not require anymore for the class of 2012 and beyond. Lastly, if you want to get into UCD, try to start drafting an essay, as it does play an important part in the admissions. Good luck!
