Some of my DD friends got them last Friday. It just says they were randomly selected but some of the information they have to provide will take quite a bit of time to gather (i.e. supporting EC claims).
Are they done with the auditing now or do they do send out more in waves/batches.
I ask as I want her to shut-off completely from this college admissions process and enjoy the last Christmas break with her friends.
This is from the UC Counselor Newsletter so it may be still possible the some applicants will be notified throughout the month. Hopefully most applicants have been notified.
UC application verification
As in previous years, UC selects a random sampling of applicants who are required to verify information in their application. The selection and notification take place in mid-December. Applicants are notified by postal mail, email and text message that they have been selected for verification, along with instructions on how to meet the requirements.
I hope they tell them soon. As the letters others are posting they got last Friday are pretty ominous. You have to reply otherwise they reject your application.
Correct so I know it would be nice not to think about college admissions for a while but checking the student portals and emails regularly is part of the process.
