I’ve heard that UC Merced and UC Davis were not as hard as getting into to UC Berkeley, UCLA, or others I wanted to know if that’s true or not

Merced, Riverside, Santa Cruz: Easiest
Davis, Irvine, Santa Barbara: Moderate
San Diego: Moderate-to-Hard
LA, Berkeley: Hard

Are you a CA resident? Are you familiar with the basic academic eligibility criteria for UC admission? If you meet UC criteria, then Merced is quite easy to get into. Davis is more selective. They all post Common Data for admitted students, but those statistics can be pretty misleading - especially at large campuses like Davis - because they are not broken down to distinguish highly selective departments like Engineering from less-selective departments like Agriculture & Food Sciences.

UC Davis has become very competitive like most of the UC’s. STEM majors have higher than the average requirements for admission. Average GPA 4.0+ and SAT score of 1950.

UCR has a guaranteed admission program: GAP, in which you are guaranteed admission to the school (not specifically your major) if you qualify. You need a UC GPA (weighted) of 3.9 and an SAT score of 1600 or ACT score of 23 with writing. Applications are available now but you still have to submit the regular UC application in November. UCR is a great school as a safety if you qualify.
UC Merced is the newest UC and is the easiest to be accepted. If your ELC eligible and are not accepted by any other UC’s, you will be offered a place at UC Merced.
