Is UMass worth the extra cost to out of staters?

<p>Im from NY and UMass seems really nice. But is it worth the extra cost compared to a SUNY school- Albany, Cortland or Oswego? How are the academics? Atmosphere? Town/location?</p>

<p>It all comes down to cost, in my opinion. There is a serious price bump for OOS</p>

<p>$15K+ extra to go to UMass is a lot.</p>

<p>Those are not the highest ranked SUNYs though; I think UMass is a better school. </p>

<p>If you had Binghamton or Geneseo on your list I’d say it’s not worth the extra money to go to UMass.</p>
