Does it have a strong reputation in sciences especially?

Yes. It is a very good school and is getting even better. However, when it comes to the science programs- I don’t really know.

yes especially neuroscience.

should i choose going to UPitt (if i get accepted)as a science major over Rutgers(already got accepted into NB campus) as science major?

are you instate to either? have you visited both? I was accepted to both last year and liked Pitts Urban campus but i never bothered to visit Rutgers.

im out of state for both. Im a NY resident

pretty good school

If you live closer to NJ (depends where you live in NY), then I’d think Rutgers is a plus. But it is a personal choice. Pittsburg may be colder than NJ (if that is another criteria :)) You need to visit both and see. I think Univ of Pitt is more urban but Rutgers is a good blend of suburbs+urban. And good access to NYC via NJ transit. And proximity to quite a few big companies in Central jersey would maybe give more access to internships. I’d visit both and then make a decision. Academics are likely on par in both places.
