Try to remember that were many students last year who were accepted as Fall admits (along with Stpring admits) all the way in to the very last days of March. This has been mentioned many times.

Also, my son’s status changed from “forwarded” back to “in review” LATE AT NIGHT after the VERY DAY his acceptance was mailed (last Friday), so there is still plenty of time. And at this point, it seems, plenty of mailings are going out on other days besides Friday. Just look in the “celebrate acceptances” thread.

Dextraordinary, I can’t answer that. But in our case (CA), it came the same day - if you consider the wee early hours of the 13th to be the same day as mail time on the 13th!

AW is thinking of last year when the statuses themselves were apparently marked with a date. This year there is no date whatsoever given on the status - applicants are simply keeping track of when they noticed the status change.

A status change at this point can be either positive or negative. Last year, my friend got an earlier status change than me and he was rejected. So there is no way to tell.

so my status has been stuck on forwarded for well over a month, possibly two months now. what does that mean?
if i don’t get in, i don’t get in, but i really hope i do.
the wait is just terrible.

I looked and mine still says forwarded. It changed last week after the first wave. I can’t remember if it was Saturday or Sunday. So, if my status did not change last night, I probably won’t receive a packet today? I’m in socal.

i’ve been reading these posts and i’m wondering if the third wave ever started? i haven’t heard of any third wave letters from friends and no acceptances have been mentioned on CC. did anyone get accepted yesterday? i’m dying. haha, i’ve been on forwarded for about a week and i’ve had countless status changes since december 1st. i was also asked for midyear grades.

my stats:

W: 4.2/ UW: 3.35
Great ECs (MUN Pres, National Finalist for a competition, lots of awards, dance, community service, varsity sport etc.)
I have also taken 9 APs (5 exams so far with all 5’s and one 3)
SAT: 2100
Subject tests all in the 700’s.

I’d say I’m pretty borderline. My essays were OK; nothing great, though, since it was my first batch of applications.

^^Mitthi, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe USC is not following the same mailing dates as last year. As a matter of fact, this year, there were many mails sent out on wednesdays and thursdays.

There are all these backdoor acceptances and a lot of people have recently been switched from “forwarded” to “review, april 1st”. I just don’t know what to expect. If all these people were allowed to access the enrollment link online, they should have gotten their letters this weekend… If they do not get their letters this weekend, USC is obviously switching up the pattern a bit. I have a one-person legacy at SC (my dad) and I sort of wove that into my interview (which was great, btw). I just don’t know what to think… hopefully, the backdoors aren’t the only ones getting an acceptance in the next wave!

so this is my status currently:
Your application has been forwarded for committee review.
that is all it says. Anyways, I tried clicking on that link that someone posted earlier in this thread for like confirming your decision to go to USC and the admitted students program ( w/e those links where) anyways they came up " error" =( …at this point, do you think I have been rejected? is there a chance this will change between now and the end of april or is there a chance that i might be being considered for spring 2011?
