Is work experience good?

I would like to know

Yes - but an internship that jives with your passion(s) is likely better. It all depends on your financial situation. If you/your family needs the money (for college or some good cause, not for the latest electronics), then get a job - colleges will applaud you for doing so. There is a spot on most every app for ‘work experience.’

yes work experience is very good

Yes work experience is good, everything helps =]

work experience is good.

As all the above posters stated, work experience is good. It shows that you aren’t a privileged kid but a responsible, mature person. Also, as it is hard to juggle both work and school, work experience will show that you know how to manage your time and can handle a lot of activities at once. Lastly, a job will make up for a relative lack of ECs because working is time consuming.

It can’t hurt.

I have seen a high proportion of college applications I am filling out that ask whether you work during the school year and how much. They will take into consideration that you are balancing school and work.

But even if you just work during the summer, it is a good thing. Working a job, you will find if you haven’t already, is much different than schoolwork.
