Is yoga an EC?

<p>Ha, I kind of asked this in my other thread but I thought I would start it one of it’s own.</p>

<p>Is yoga (or any other minor class/activity) considered an EC? Is it worth putting on an App?</p>

<p>For example I am going to be taking two evening classes a week at a local yoga studio. Would it be not be considered an EC because it is not a “passion” of mine?</p>

<p>Would it only become an EC if I started teaching underprivileged children’s yoga at the local YMCA?</p>

<p>Is something an EC only if it is official? If every week I played basketball with the same group of friends but never formed a “true” team and played just for fun, would it be possible to add to an applications?</p>

<p>Yoga, exercise classes, individual weightlifting (as opposed to Olympic type involvement), Pilates, are seen as self-improvement activities rather than ECs. If you end up in an ashram in India doing yoga,or teaching a class, you could always use it as an essay topic.</p>

<p>I don’t see a problem with listing yoga as one of your ECs.</p>
