I do Yoga and Power Yoga,so I was thinking if I can put it on my extracurricular activity. so is Yoga an extracurricular activity?

anyone?? please answer

bump!!! please answer someone???

Sure. It’s as good as any other physical activity.

Of course it’s an EC. But only you can say if it’s significant enough to be worth spending precious application real estate on.

Basically, any interests or activities outside of schoolwork could be considered an “extracurricular” (outside of the curriculum.) I would say that practicing yoga fits into this category. Adding your interests to your application or resume gives the reader some more information about you.

@Cardgames,@M’s Mom,@familyof3boys,thanks a lot for your reply.and yes yoga really is a very important part of my life, everyday i spend at least one hour for it and it has actually improved me in every way and made me a better person and it a precious part of my life, because it helps me stay fit, relaxed,in sync with my self and makes me calm, yoga tought me to be patient,to be consistant,to be a peaceful and calm person, see i can talk about yoga all day long,so inshort it is an important part of my life and i guess you people are right, that i should add it on my ec.

General rule: If it’s not a class, it’s generally an EC.

It sounds like it belongs on your application and could be the focus of an essay. Don’t forget to proofread, though.

^ agreed. Sounds like it could be a neat essay topic.

If you can talk about it all day long, then it not only belongs in your list of ECs, but is probably worth a little extra real estate to talk about it. You want them to have a clear picture of who you are and what you can contribute to a student body.
