Is your senator packing heat?

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/03/26/AR2007032602102.html</a></p>

Gives new meaning to the idea of “heated” debate. TWO fully loaded magazines?

This could be even better than C-SPAN hearings. A return to the days of settling Congressional debates by dueling at 20 paces.

Senator Webb versus Sen. McConnell, for example.

Why yes, as a matter of fact he is, sjmom. Thank you for asking. :D

(well I am a Virginian, LOL)

The “two fully loaded magazines” caught my attention too! I bet he gets his next piece of legislation passed through in a hurry. :)

I don’t know too many war veterans who don’t own firearms. It’s an integral part of their profession during a formative time. Think of it as the vets’ version of a Blackberry.

Uh, hopefully he wouldn’t whip it out in the middle of a boring meeting!

:) Better in boredom than anger.

ETA: Seriously though, it was pretty bad judgement on Webb’s part to give a gun registered to him to someone else to hold or transport, even if the other man was a fellow Marine.

I heard there was some bill being kicked around in FL preventing employers from prohibiting employees from keeping loaded weapons in their cars out in the parking lot.

Good thing Web (whom I voted for, BTW) is a Democrat. Imagine the outrage this story would have engendered here on CC (instead of the pithy quips) had he been a Republican!
