Is it safe to say that another attempt will be the best to get into private schools ?
Depends on what schools you’re aiming for.
For NYC competitive privates, I’ve heard that 7+ is a minimum for all subscores. For the most competitive schools, they’re looking at 8s or 9s.

I think you should at least a higher reading if you are aiming for those elite private schools
