DD took both SSAT and ISEE. Her SSAT score was 79% (v 65% q 84% r 80%); as versus her ISEE score (v/r/q/n) 7/6/7/8.
Seeking your advices on which one to go? Thanks in advance.

I’d say go with the highest reading comp/verbal which I guess is ISEE. But if DD can retake the SSAT to get those scores up, I would recommend that. IF DD is looking at GLADCHEMMS school, I know they like to see 85%/+ (at least that is what the TSAO said when they came to our school in October/22). I know many folks here disagree with me, but if you’re going to all this trouble to apply to BS, why not try to get those scores up? The competition is fierce. I know at Choate 9th grade boy acceptance rate was around 11% while the girl acceptance rate was 5% (those numbers from the admissions office directly!). I’m sure many people will tell you scores don’t matter, and that if you don’t have to submit scores, don’t submit. It’s a judgment call…Just my 2¢. Good luck!
Those are pretty equal scores. Have you taken either test again? How have you prepared for the tests? To which schools are you applying?
The pool that applied to Choate probably overlaps significantly with the applicant pools at some other HADES schools, atleast PA, Exeter and Hotchkiss I would assume. Do these acceptance percentages mean fewer boys applied last year compared to the girls? I presume the schools want to keep the ratio of boys and girls close to 1.
@oddsratio If OP asking for feedback regarding which score to send, so his DD must apply for this year application cycle for 2024-2025, right?
But since both scores are pretty much in similar range, and we would like to have a better idea if OP’s DD decided to retake the test, and if in case, what is the new score result?
Also OP didn’t mention about his DD’s plan of scheduling to retake the test, that’s probably not in his original plan. But OP probably just waited for both scores to be available, before making the decision which one to send to schools.
Another thing is, as many suggested about the possibilities of boosting the score up by retaking the test, will the new test score be available soon enough? Because the AO from one of the schools we applied to mention that the January test will be the last one that the school is willing to wait for the result as it’s the latest one that the report will be released only a couple days after the application deadline.
