My DD is currently a freshman and LOVES her honors bio class. Summer after Sophomore year is already quite full so we are searching for a camp, class, volunteer opportunity, etc that will help her explore this interest further. I have been doing some searching on my summer advisor.com but know there are a lot of programs that have not yet updated info for 2017 so please suggest those you know about. The ideal program would be in June or July with minimal (< $1000) cost and exposure to more than one career, but a virtual anatomy class would also work. We may plan our family vacation in the same geographic area to simplify transportation.
@Cheeringsection Auburn has a Food Science camp for 1 week in July for about $1,000. One of my kids did it 2 years ago and really enjoyed it–he’s considering it as a potential major.
Thanks! DD has decided to spend her time earning money towards her big trip with GS next summer and working on her gold award.
Oh, and we are going to several biology themed attractions on our vacation. That “camp” money has become attractions money.
