I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA, 2400 on the SAT (first try during freshman year), I have been president of the National Honors Society for two years, president of the science club for three years, president of the Debate Club for 3 years, concert-master of the symphony orchestra for three years, and captain of the varsity football team for four years. I also founded an organization for sick, dying children, and I started a couple of clubs at my school. I am valedictorian at a prestigious private high school. Every teacher I have ever had can write a novel about me, and I have written a couple of novels myself. I also invented a new element. By the way, I am a first-generation student and I am both black AND hispanic. Here are my honors:

[Insert whatever the thread was supposed to be about that was not at all relevant to OP’s stats here]

…people list their stats when it isn’t even necessary. It also annoys me when parents want to briefly describe their kids and do so by holding up their kids’ stats like a trophy.

Guess what my stats are?

I have a 3.8 unweighted GPA. I haven’t taken the SAT, I haven’t even taken the PSAT. I am not in any clubs at all and I have never done volunteer work in my life.

I am in the top ten percent of my class (oh yes, you heard me right College Confidential, ONLY THE TOP 10%, not valedictorian!) at a public school with over a thousand freshman, among them d-bags, circus-freaks, elitist shysters, and top-ranked asians, the latter two varieties being the same.

My extracurricular activities are the lower-ranked freshman orchestra and the junior-varsity 3 tennis team, the former of the two I will drop the next year due to a for-no-reason-holds-a-grudge conductor that attacks me for the way I play violin, despite the fact that I was a symphony-player in middle school and this whole year of orchestra has been a vacation.

Oh, and I have never had an English teacher that hasn’t been racist. My English teacher this year held my grade at 89.4 for a good part of the first semester. Not suspicious at all, right? My high-school honors? National German Honors Society.

I’m not an URM because my race was whitewashed.

Releasing the steam, releasing the steam…

First reply: You need to leave College Confidential and come back in 3 years!
Second reply: Will someone ban this guy already? He’s so defeatist. Remember, Sheenr, if you are not the best in your state, you won’t get into one of your top choices, so just accept it already.
Third reply, a parent: My kids stats are a trophy because they worked so hard to achieve them!
Fourth reply, a concerned mom: Don’t worry, you will end up where you want to be. You still have lots of time!

P.S. If you would like to object, include in your post a link to someone that posted their acceptance to any top university on CC that you would say is normal.
