There are 4000 colleges in the u.s.
if we try to follow the USNEWS ranking,
top 100 colleges are considered top 2.5%
colleges in the U.S.
How pointless ;)

Yes Umich may not be an IL school.
But it is recognized nationally and internationally.

At this point it’s not the matter of the quality of UMich;
It’s how UMich treated some of the applicants.
I myself had to wait since October and I wasn’t even considered
as an EA applicant (long story…)
I was quite disappointed how they dealt with the problem.
Other schools were generous and understood my problem as an
international applicant and they all accepted me in the end.
Umich, however, simply disregarded my situation and I am still
waiting after I got moved to RD(not deferred) and deferred in Feb.

They are having a hard time too I know…
but the way they treat applicants is quite…hmmm…rude
Maybe we are the lab rats and hopefully they can deal
with the application process better next year.
I did not consider Umich as a safety but it is frustrating
that I am not getting any response from them…

Good luck everyone for tomorrow who applied to IL schools
and good luck again for all the people who are still waiting
to hear from Umich ;)
