…just maybe, nobody moves on spring bonuses, and Cravath gets away with these cheap bonus payouts…Now, yes, I understand that I just called a $7,500 bonus for first years “cheap” and “a dick move.” Most Americans (including me) would break legs for a $7,500 bonus…It’s hard to believe that a law firm could turn $7,500 into an insult, but there you go.

<p>I remember back in the day when a bonus was an actual bonus and not automatically expected or given. My H, in his first year after call, received a $2500 bonus, as did all the others in his year at the firm. The check was accompanied with a letter that advised them to never expect this to happen again! :)</p>
