Hello folks!!!This is the scenario …You always wanted a certain university but when you visit it…It’s a big deception…
I’ll start.University of toronto it was one of my dream schools i’ve always heard so many positive comments about it but two months ago i had the oportunity visit and it was terrible …The city itself i didn’t like(I was expecting more for a city that size)the university facilities did not impress me, too large student body…does not have "the university " feeling…You real feel just like a “number”
that’s just my personal opinion …what about you guys?

I don’t know about the university, as I’ve never visited it, but I personally love the city of Toronto. I feel that it is one of the most diverse cities in the world.

I thought I wanted to apply ED to Vanderbilt from the minute I started my college search. Everything seemed so perfect on paper…but when I visited, it didn’t feel right. I didn’t feel at home, it just wasn’t what I wanted or what I was expecting at all. I was actually quite upset. :(

I got into MIT, and everyone wanted me to go there, and I actually wanted to sort of go there, but then I visit and everyone appears depressed and no more than two people are ever seated/walking together and such, so it really didn’t say much for social atmosphere, but oh well.

I had my dad drive me all the way out to st louis to see wustl and was very disappointed. like someone else said about vandy, the school just didn’t feel right. This is an important component in the college selection process that definately gets overlooked.

This is why it’s important to visit before deciding what school to go to. It’s particularly important to visit before applying ED, which would lock you in if you get an acceptance.

I though that Umich was gonna be my school, that is until I visited and got that number feeling.

I was looking at UMiami (FL) as one of my top choices. I have family in the area. Visited in November and hated the school. Any school with moldy buildings is ugh. I probably wouldnt even get in. I dont even care.
