Please chance me, i know my scores suck, but would my ec’s compensate for the crappy scores?
COULD I MAKE THE GENERAL SCHOOL THOUGH?

There is no Kellog Undergrad college. And in general, I would say no, you wouldn’t be able to get into NU. Your ACT is passable, but your SAT’s are very weak, and your GPA is also sub-par. If you got recruited as an athlete, maybe.

I think arbiter213 was a little harsh. Are you a junior or senior? If you’re a junior, definitely retake the SATs or ACT. Try and make sure your senior year schedule is the most challenging possible. Try and raise your GPA to at least a 3.8 UW. Honestly, I think you’re someone who could go either way, because your ECs are good. Write kickass essays, get amazing recs, and you might very well have a shot. College admissions in general are such a crapshoot though.

I think the important thing is that you can’t apply to Kellogg.

In all honesty I have similar stats and am awaiting my rejection letter. But I think if you work on your SAT and/or ACT scores, you’ll have a much better chance of getting in. So study up for those tests and try to write some great essays. Good luck!

O, and get so good grades for midterms if you’re applying Rd.

ps- don’t take these chance threads too seriously, if NU is your dream school just put in your best effort and apply. What do you have to lose besides the extra fee?

hey dude there’s actually a section in CC for chances. so you do not have to post in every single school you think you may apply to

there’s not a huge point in putting a chance thread in the chances section, he/she probably only wants to hear from people who have applied or been admitted to NU (aka-the people on here).

i was waitlisted two years ago with higher sat’s and a slightly lower gpa. I would think that now, you can’t get in with those scores with the higher amount of competition. I agree i with the others, up those sat’s (i’m thinking mostly the sat2’s) and you could have a better chance.

If you thought you were applying to kellogg, you probably also need to reevaluate your interest in the school. There is no undergrad kellogg or business major, as people have stated above)

also does anyone actually care about race/nationality? I feel like it seems so trivial…
