It's funny how things work out

Well, i just wanted to get some others’ opinions on this funny situation.
I had the University of Florida as my #1 choice for college for Aerospace Engineering. However, I was not accepted. I was then down and did not expect to receive any good news. However, one month later, I was accepted to Georgia Tech, which is better known for Aerospace Engineering. I’m just wondering how these things happen. The only explanations I can think of are either that I am a Georgia resident or something beyond this world. Also, UGA accepted me, but that was not much of a choice for me, as they don’t offer AE.

My stats were a 27 ACT (27 math, 28 english),
88.85 gpa,
All honors / AP classes,
Top 25% of class.
EC’s included Cross Country, Track, and Beta Club.
Essay was unique and well written.

Congratulations on your acceptance, I can only think that Georgia Tech had a more favorable impression towards you.

Never, ever, ever, underestimate the difference between being an in-state and an out-of-state candidate when you apply to public universities.

Wishing you much success at Georgia Tech! Wow!!! That is a great university!

^ Exactly

i didn’t get into tufts, but i then got into upenn for bioengineering-- also better known program

congrats and best of luck! youre in a great place
