It's National Chocolate Day!

Got any favorite recipes for celebrating the day? I think a good Death By Chocolate cake is in order.

I will be celebrating this Friday.

<:-P

Lol - guess we are not the only ones celebrating:

Nothing yet! I’ll be sure to celebrate with ONE piece of Halloween candy later (haven’t had any yet!!)

I will have a few thins out of the Lindt box kiddo brought from Geneva. Sigh. Our Lindt and their Lindt… night and day.

I bought my tickets to the Salon de Chocolat yesterday! ( that fashion show is part of it) H didn’t think it was worth 14 EU ,( until I pointed out the copious free samples.)

I’m lactose intolerant.

H is lactose intolerant but fine with dark chocolate, which we all love in this house. ;-). It has no lactose !

HIMom, you might be surprised by this FDA finding:

Small amounts might be ok for someone with mild intolerance but could be an issue for someone with a severe allergy!

Wow, I stand corrected. I guess the small amounts of milk in dark chocolate in the small quantities of dark chocolate consumed have never bothered H, tho he’s fairly sensitive. Good to know, as it is an issue to those more lactose sensitive.

I always thought it would be lactose-free. Surprise!

Eons ago, when I worked in Fremont (the Center of the Universe one), I would take a lunch hour stroll along the ship canal and then stop at the Theo’s factory to nibble on the free samples as my dessert. Once a couple of weeks, I would buy a small bar. Good times!

I had three squares of Theo 70% dark chocolate - two coconut, one orange. Yum! LOVE Theo!
