" … For morning people, Daylight Savings is a drag, depriving them of an hour of tranquil morning light. But for others, “spring forward” brings with it the promise of long, languid afternoons and warmer weather." …
I say DST year-round. I love having the light for at least a couple of hours after work. It keeps me energized.
For me dark = sleep. I don’t want to “sleep” at 6pm.
I live in northern New England and in the dark days of winter, sunrise is around 7:20 and sunset around 4:30. I’d love it to be 5:30 even if it means driving to work in the dark.
I love daylight savings. I have night blindness. I do not drive at night. But with the additional light I can go out for walks and enjoy more of a day.
@lilmom - my younger S is on his college golf team - loves it! He’s very antsy for the snow to go away but I don’t think that’s going to happen anytime soon.
I grew up in the year or so we kept DST all year long. I thought it was fab. I rode to school on my bike in near total darkness and watched the sunrise on a regular basis. I loved it. I still had daylight after school which was the best. There was always active outdoor time after school before dark.
