I looked on the website and for the $9,000 scholarship it said that you must have a 3.8 gpa and a 1330 on the SAT for critical reading and math combined. For that score is it superscored so they take the best cr and math score from any test or is that score for one sitting? Thanks

A 1340 is required not a 1330 and it looks like superscoring is okay. From the FAQs on their website: “Yes. Students are encouraged to retake the SAT or ACT as often scores will increase. IU will utilize the highest Critical Reading score and the highest Math score combined for the SAT score, and the highest Composite score from the ACT, for both admission and scholarship consideration.”

Alright thank you so much!

trustyrusty, 1340 is the current qualifying score, but that could go higher when you apply for Fall 2012. It tends to go up a little every year. I know 1300 was the qualifying score for Fall 2008 freshmen. So if you currently have exactly 1340, you might want to take it again and raise it by ten or twenty points. Check the website occasionally to see if the requirements change for Fall 2012.
