Thanks. I’m anxiously awaiting to see how much this is going to cost us. Could be a little or it could be a little more, but it still will be less than my oldest was to put through Kelley. My youngest is going through the COAS and he’s gotten some nice scholarships so far. Good Luck and I hope that your financial aid package is a good one. We all need as much help as possible.
Hey guys, I was deferred from Indiana, and they want me to submit more “academic information.” I want to send in my R1 grades when they are out on March 5th. Where would I upload them? I looked on their portal, but I couldn’t find where I could upload my R1 grades. Would I have to email them to the office of admissions? Or am I just blind, and I can’t find where I upload them on the portal. Thank you!
I think they have to be sent directly from your school. If you applied through Common App, your school counselor or registrar can upload them as soon as they are available. Good luck!
I got in direct admit to kelly school of buisness but have no plans to go there. Do I just leave it until May 1 or should I email them saying I will not be attending.
well u can give the direct admit…
Got accepted today!

If you know you will not go there I would email them to inform them that you decline their offer of admission. It helps them better decide their numbers and admits.

Is it possible to be in the college of arts and science and kelly school of business. I have been accepted as a direct admit to kelly but want to do pre-med to. Will they allow enrollment into both?
Did anyone use part or all of their application essay for the essay required in the General Application for scholarships?
Great question. We just emailed counselor this morning because my daughter would like to study Sports Management along with her business studies in Kelley. Hoping the dual majors are allowed.
If you can make the credits work then you can definitely double major IU. There were a few kids that tripled majored when my son graduated in 2018.
I think a double major outside of Kelley would be difficult given the program’s structure. However, my son, too, would like to at least minor in Sports Management if he cannot double major.
Can someone please remind me: when is the SSA info announced? Does IU let those who applied to SSA know if they did not receive any SSA scholarships? And which portal / where do we find it?
Also, for those who have submitted a housing deposit: what’s the reason to do that now, and is it refundable?
Thank you!!! DD is sleeping but I’m up
My DS and I attended a virtual Admitted Student Q&A tonight — housing deposits are non-refundable.
The SSA scholarships will be announced at various times, as all of the departments at IU use the SSA and have their own timeline announcing awards. I know that Hutton Honors said that they hoped to have their scholarships completed by mid-March. I also don’t know if IU will contact you if you do not receive a SSA, unless you are an instate student and were invited to apply for a Cox scholarship. Those students will be notified one way or another by February 28th. As for the housing deposit, there isn’t an advantage to putting it down early but if you want to be in the first wave you need to have it done by May 1st. They are doing housing a little differently this year as it used to be first come first served and as another poster stated, the housing deposit is non refundable. Edit: The SSA’s should be all out by May 1st.
Just got DDs scholarship and financial aid info in the portal. It’s almost 3.5x our EFC, so going to put it out of range. She recieved a Dean’s and the Hudson Holland scholarships. Other schools are offering much more affordable options at this point. It’s too bad IU would have been perfect cause my mom lives 2 hours away and would have given DD a place to visit for breaks etc.
