Yes my son is also placed on waitlist. They canāt completely deny him right now. It looks like they donāt have space so will have to wait until May 10.

My son just found out about denial and now on waitlist. Iām wondering if others say wait list too. Itās hard to get past the denial sentence to see the waitlist part.

Do folks see changes in the portal
(Sharing more details than I normally would so next yearās applicants have a clear sense of the landscape):
Rejected (with waitlist option). 35 ACT. UW 4.0. Rigorous schedule (5 APs senior year). Paid business internships for two summers. Eagle Scout. Strong and unique ECs. Needed to petition because he attended two high schools and one did not print a GPA on the transcript.
He has higher ranked options for which we are grateful, but he liked Kelley when we visited and it would have been on the table for consideration.

Welp. That sucks. Thatās S24ās position too. Thought the two high schools thing was just a formality. Guess not.
Seems weird. He has a friend who was TO at one HS and got in like in early December. Donāt understand why 2 HS is such a penalty.

I was previously told it was just because the algorithm couldnāt deal with 2 transcripts so a real person had to review the paper.
But those stats should easily get someone in, I would think
S24 had 3.88 UW and 35 ACT. But also 2 HS.
Donāt know if he got rejected yet, but info here seems like itās likely.
He got into his #1 school last week, so Kelley was an outside shot. But I am surprised.

Maybe they just hated his essay? Or the algorithm said to reject him? Who knows? I am glad he has good options, but it is a cautionary story for anyone who need to petition.
Just for the next year students looking into this, here are my stats that got me waitlisted. I had a 29 ACT, 3.97 UW GPA, Started the first financial literacy club at my high-school, Ran a business, and will graduate high-school with my associates degree. Iām going to wait it out and hope my waitlist turns into admission. Does anyone know the waitlist acceptance rate?
