Bloomington will be cold & gray from Nov - April. Athens has pretty much perfect weather - 4 seasons but mostly sunny & warm 9 months ago. I did MS at UGA, Indiana native & still here except for 2 years in Athens. Counting the years until I can leave again - it was 2 years until coronavirus hit!
Also, IU football is NOTHING like UGA. Yes, the Big Ten has great teams but they are Michigan, Ohio State & Wisconsin.
Athens also has easy access to Atlanta.
