@Publisher Pre-Terry students at UGA can do all of those things. In fact, Terry encourages all pre-Terry students to get involved with Terry events and organizations. (OP, you can look it up on the website and go to re**it and confirm what I’m telling you). And getting into Terry and the desired major is not hard at all. There is no advantage to direct admit at IU over pre-Terry at UGA. None. UGA has even gotten rid of the pre-admission exam.
Direct admit to Kelley shouldn’t be the deciding factor.
@AllenLi17 You have received a lot of different but excellent opinions here. Some people like Chocolate Cream and some people like Vanilla Ice Cream. You were accepted to all these fine schools check the boxes. Ultimately, you have to decide what is important to you. What was the reason you applied to these schools? Were you aiming for scholarships and financial merit? I am assuming you did your research prior to applying. These are all large schools with a lot of social opportunities and sports involvement. More importantly, each one of these schools will provide you a great opportunity if you work hard and you get involved. Marketing can be a little broad. By the end of the day, RED is the prevalent color at each of the schools so no winners there.
THink about which school can the easiest land you top jobs.
The money label may be true in most cases but the aid office differs by school to school too. Like a state uni thats less competitive in terms of rank likely has a less financial aid package for you. School with higher ranking may has a higher financial aid for you and cancels more and left less in its amount.
Think about each’s national level ranking which affects tons.
Think about the location, which college is at the best location especially if you want to find a job there after four years.
Direct admission to the business major matters at colleges where changing into the business major after enrolling is difficult (requiring a high college GPA or highly competitive admission process). This is true at some colleges but not others, so each college needs to be investigated on its own.
@Boomer1964 what makes this hard is I got denied from both my dream school. Don’t get me wrong UGA and IU are great schools in their very own way, I don’t want to choose a school and be dreading going for at least 2 years(If I don’t decide on transferring) and feel like I wasted my money. I’m hoping for more information on their merit program and scholarships they gave to ease the decision a little bit. I wish I can have both chocolate and vanilla ice cream lol.
@twittiebird3892 where can we find the information of the financial aid package for me personally. I’m a 1rst gen so I’m experiencing this for the first time.
usually is in their student portal, find the “financial aid …” after you login to their student portal.
The higher ranking on USNWR is usually one that gives out the most financial aid too.
