<p>Alright, so my SAT isn’t so hot right now, but I still have a second attempt in October and plan to get that 2100+ I’m seeking. As for my ACT, I fall into the category of ‘Middle 50% of First-Year Students’ according to CollegeBoard. I’m taking the ACT again though considering I barely made the cut with a 30 and it was my first time without and preparation. That aside, I also plan on taking 2 subject tests, Math 2 and some other (not sure which one yet).</p>
<p>If I was to send only my Subject tests and ACT test would it look fishy? Would they think something is up and automatically deny or request my SAT score, thinking that I have actually taken it?</p>
<p>This past year as a Junior I placed 3rd in the Texas state UIL (University Interscholastic League) Mathematics competition, which is quite an honor I believe. This should bump up my chances at getting accepted correct?.. Considering that UIL is the most popular high school competitive organization in Texas. </p>
<p>I’m also a varsity Track runner for 3 years, and am a member of the National Honors Society with many community service hours.</p>
<p>I haven’t outlined myself completely, however, all in all, would this be a good bare start at my goal to get accepted into Yale?</p>

<p>I don’t plan on studying for the Subject 2 tests… maybe the other one but not the mathematics one. I’m going to prep for the ACT one hardcore though.</p>

<p>Well, I run cross country to stay in shape for track because my true sport is track and I’m a short/mid-distance runner (specialize in the 400 meter dash). </p>
<p>I could probably run a 5k in under 18:30 right now with the shape I’m in.</p>
<p>My 400 meter dash is around 51 seconds right now.</p>
<p>i think your SAT score would need to be 2200 at least. and it would be ok if you just submit ACT and SAT IIs, lots of people do that.
That math competition should help. it’s a good start, i guess.</p>

<p>russia, here are the results of the Ivy Track Championships this spring. It looks to me like Yale needs a 400 runner ASAP, since two just graduated. Have you thought about running in college? Your 51 stacks up pretty well in this league, and your academic stats look like a reasonable fit. </p>

<p>russia, your question is pretty much the reason CC exists. Read back through Yale forum posts, especially those of admitted students, or those admitted to peer schools, and you’ll find an incredible range of accomplishments. There’s no perfect formula, and no ideal profile. Best wishes.</p>
