I've decided to let it go

if there is no afterlife…why should we be good on earth…everyone should go have drink, party, have unlimited sex, gamble, commit fraud, cheat, and do anything to make money and live it up

“i believe that God knows what has happened, what is happening and what will happen, because he is God and he is all-knowing. However, he doesnt force people to do things simply because he knows whats going to happen. God already knows if you at some point in your life will do something (lets say commit murder). That doesnt mean that he controls your mind and moves you into committing the act (i.e. like the greek gods during the Odyssey). He simply knows. Once again it doesnt make sense logically but like i said thats part of faith and thats why having faith is supposed to lead to Paradise…high risk=high reward…except in this case the risk isnt that high”

Lol, dang, I just can’t resist congratulating you on writing more BS than I did during my sociology final. Seriously, it’s like the guy who invented scientology said, if you really wanted to become rich, you’d invent a religion or something. maybe you should look in to it…oh wait the romans already did that one…dang!!!

yes hinduism just wins here. you pray because your actions will determine who you will be and what your life will be like in your next lifetime

oooh dionysus is pulling out the problem of evil!!!

I know im not perfect i never said i was. i know im doing bad stuff and im going through a confusing time. but i do believe in the forgiveness of Jesus. i am human i make mistakes.

i’ve read somewhere that einstein was catholic, maybe i’m mistaken about him. sorry.

it’s true that darwin gave up christianity when he started his work on evolution, but he denied all his findings right before his death. i take this as some sort of divine revelation. it happened right before his death, there’s no argument for or against it.

and hawkings was asked what was before the big bang, and he replied, that is god’s business. he was by no means a devoted christian, but he did leave room for god in all his studies and acknowledged him. do correct me if i’m wrong.

Hinduism = Single greatest and most enduring religion EVER.

If you were perfect would you believe in Jesus’ forgiveness?

ok, well I believe that jesus will forgive me for not believing in him–I can do whatever I want and still get into heaven. I win.

^ yes you are so right venkater, hinduism is so much more believable

einstein was a jew. he may have gone to catholic school, but was pretty jewish.

well, the one main question i always wonder is…why are you certain religious people sure that YOUR religion is the right one…and the other half or more of the world is wrong?

ditto .

dionysus: you are assuming that the wasp only plays one role in the ecosystem which is not true. and even if they didnt…God’s version of controlling them is through the wasps, so our minds could understand it. If there were 2 billion caterpillars today and just 2000 tomorrow…everyone would be like ***…

no, it doesnt. hinduism doesnt preach reincarnation, u fools. that religion is entirely FIGURATIVE. ppl live many lives over, not literally, but by repenting for mistakes and not making them again, u can start fresh. its like getting unlimited chances to be a good person. hindu philosophy uses its mythology to help children understand our values, not to believe in a freakish-looking pantheon of gods.

i’ve read somewhere that einstein was catholic, maybe i’m mistaken about him. sorry.

Actually, Einstein and Stephen Hawking are both pantheists, so their definition of god is quite different from yours. They believe in a Spinozian god, which is not a god at all.

please hinduism is no more believable than christianity which is no more believable than the lord of the rings…the ramian (however you spell it) speaks of demons and gods making children and women splitting themselves and other…stuff…like that…sorry, i cant make this any less offensive without getting my point across. well i’m gong to worship gandalf now.

quote denied all his findings right before his death. i take this as some sort of divine revelation. it happened right before his death, there’s no argument for or against it.

[/quote]

Lol!!! No argument against it??? You must be kidding me!

Isn’t that an urban legend anyways? I’ve never heard of this… and I just check wikipedia, which said that historians and darwin’s children both refuted this.

To be forgiven Jyankees…you must have faith in God and you must believe that he sent Jesus to us to die and forgive us for our sins…

you cant be forgiven if you dont believe in him.

Oh, and The “lady hope story” is an urban legend letmepass.
