<p>So a poster here has this quote on her(?) profile, and I’m asking the current students to extrapolate on this statement. We (I’m sure I speak for many) would love to hear about this.</p>

<p>LOL. that’s me. i heard it when i was in line at the Bowery Whole Foods and i think it was supposed to be some sort of backhanded insult to female NYU students. (i was wearing my NYU Football shirt and shopping.) it wasn’t even the Union Square Whole Foods and the woman who said it wouldn’t even say it to my face; she said it to her friend.</p>

<p>i just thought it was a funny quote. just because of the way she said it, “not AT ALL selective”, as opposed to the myriad of other things they could have said. </p>

<p>for the record, i’m a female NYU student. it’s also sort of indicative of the town and gown relationship that NYU has to NYC and how a few NYU students can give the entire student body a bad rep. </p>

<p>i have a sketchier story that involves a similar quote, but it’s kind of inappropriate given the nature of this forum. </p>

<p>anyway, i’m sorry if it offended you. i just think it’s funny in some ironic way.</p>

<p>i just remembered another hilarious throwdown i had with someone who claimed that NYU Tisch was single handily destroying the film industry. they were ranting that the school was churning out terrible film makers. when i started rattling off our alumni from Tisch, they got embarrassed and ran away.</p>

<p>Actually it doesn’t make sense at all to why NYU girls would be selective. Most of the male population is gay…</p>
