I've learned this for 4 years already?

I registered for Algebra and Calculus next semester as a freshman to fulfill my math or science requirement (in LSP wanting to go to Gallatin). But, I’m sort of wondering if that’s going to be a repeat of the last 4 years. (Now I might be underestimating what we’re learning in this class, I have no idea. I’m just judging it by what I read from the description of the class online, which says, “intermediate algebra and trigonometry… algebraic, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions and their graphs.”) I took Algebra 2 in 9 grade, then moved to another school in 10th, so they made me take an assessment test, which I didn’t try in because I was stupid enough to not know that it was going to determine what class I was going to be placed in and because I had just moved countries a few days ago and was not prepared at all. I was put in Algebra 2 again. Then summer going into 11th grade, I decided to take an Honours Algebra 2 summer course so I could take IBHL Math in 11th grade. I was stupid and didn’t try hard enough, so the teacher suggested me take Honors Pre Calc in 11th grade. I agreed and took it, and everything became review for me once again and I barely learned anything (this Pre Calc seemed to be a repeat of Algebra 2). In senior year I took IBSL Math, which was quite easy and once again was pretty much the same material as the last few years, other than the Calculus unit, which I had never learned about.

Anyway, sorry about the super long history about my math class experience, but am I underestimating the Algebra and Calculus course? Or should I actually consider taking Calculus (I think it’s Calculus for the Social Sciences), if that’s even allowed? What is Algebra and Calculus like?

It’s far easier to just take the math exemption exam, rather than actually taking a math course.
