I’m sure this has been asked before, but which is the easiest Ivy League school to apply to? And is Barnard or Cornell easier in general
I don’t think you are looking for the easiest to apply to, but the easiest to gain admission to. Barnard isn’t an Ivy League school.
Cornell has the highest acceptance rate of ivy league schools, but it also receives the most applications out of ivy league schools. Cornell has a choice of more candidates, but also accepts a higher percentage of them.
Dartmouth, UPenn, and Cornell are relatively the same difficulty to gain admissions to. If you apply early decision to one of these schools, you have a much higher chance (25%) of gaining admission rather than the 1-5% admission rate for regular decision.
Based on average GPA and SAT scores, it is much easier to get into Barnard than into Cornell.
Accepted students to Barnard have an average UW GPA of 3.84 and accepted students to Cornell have an average UW GPA of 4.09 (A+ counts as 4.33).
Accepted students to Barnard have an average SAT score of 1404 and accepted students to Cornell have an average SAT score of 1470.
Barnard is not part of the Ivy League.
Ivy League schools aren’t generically the same. The one that’s easiest to get into is sort of immaterial if it is a poor fit for you.
