Ivy League Baseball

Has anyone had an experience with applying to an Ivy league school and playing baseball?

You might want to check out the athletic recruiting forum. (Personally, my expertise is limited to having attended a couple of Ivy League baseball games. )

Check out high school baseball web and search through the recruiting section of the forum. There are some Ivy threads there.

Ivy baseball is highly competitive, but very worthwhile if you happen to have the scores and grades, coupled with the baseball ability. Most of the Ivy’s have a recruiting form on their baseball website that will give you more information.

As always, if you are able to have the coach sponsor you as a recruit, your chances for admission are greatly enhanced. That is a function primarily of baseball ability, but will also require high grades and scores. If not, expect to need 1500+ board scores, 4.0 type GPA, and a lot of good fortune.

OK thanks for the suggestion

This was previously mentioned in one of the posts above but I wanted to add - in the Athletic forum on CC (under College Admissions - Specialty College Admissions Topics) there is a member by the name of FenwaySouth who offers very good information about Ivy League Baseball & recruiting. Look around under that forum as there is very good information from FenwaySouth and others.
