<p>Honestly, I don’t know what taking a year off is going to do for you. I mean, those are tough schools, but, ya never know I guess. If you hadn’t taken the year off I would’ve said yes to: Columbia, Brown, and NYU, Maybe to: Princeton, and Yale.
Maybe you still have a chance though.</p>

No, really though, I took a year to chill out pretty much. I graduated high school early. And I’m just now 17. I graduated when I was 16. Um, on that year off, I actually traveled and took time to do something I wanted to do. I went to Europe, and I spent a few months over there. In a diffrent life style. I participated heavily with church youth groups, and was a camp counsler for a church camp, I also did a Bible program. I guess I should add that to my stats.</p>

<p>adding what you did on your year off is SO important…its even a specific question isnt it? i dont kno how taking a year off affects you if you did something positive, but if you can show that you just didnt sit around on your butt watching tv and playing videogames i think itll be ok…write one of your essays on that…</p>

<p>You have a great chance at these places! My only advice would be to add one match in between Brown, Columbia, and NYU. Maybe Northwestern?</p>
