<p>Is it true that Yale and Harvard admission offices compare notes, accepting some qualified students to Harvard and some to Yale based on where they think the applicant will fit best?</p>

<p>Also, are there honors programs/merit scholarships at HYP? If so, what would a person have to do to get into one–like what would set them apart from alll the other amazing applicants?</p>

<p>1st question: No.</p>

<p>2nd question: Not that I know off, but 98% No.</p>

<p>No merit scholarships, period.</p>

<p>Maybe if you were to win the Nobel Prize or the Pulitzer Prize or something along that lines they would offer you a scholarship, but I don’t think they award merit-based scholarships on a regular basis.</p>

<p>There are some programs that are competitive to enter once you are a student, like the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton, and (I think) the History and Literature major at Harvard. Or the opportunity to study at Oxford for Williams students.</p>
