Reaches: HYP, Columbia, Med Programs
Low Reaches: Brown, Dartmouth
Matches: WashU, Nwestern, Chicago, Penn, Cornell

You need major safeties, although you’ll probably get into a few of your matches and maybe 1 of the others. Med programs are REALLY big on scores though, and I don’t think they’re big ACT fans. Everyone I know who got into one this year had at least a 2300.

Wow. Better than I could achieve so far. I think that ‘s snack’ just about nailed it:

Reaches: HYP, Columbia, Med Programs
Low Reaches: Brown, Dartmouth
Matches: WashU, Nwestern, Chicago, Penn, Cornell

Yup I agree. and I also agree that you don’t have a single safety. Get at least one (one that you want to go to) or maybe even two.

Oh, sorry I have safeties I just didn’t list them. My safety is the University of Iowa and I feel I have a reasonably good chance of getting in. I just wanted to know what my chances are of getting into some other schools. Is there anything I can do to improve my app so I have a better chance? I really was looking into those combined programs and they look really appealing.

oh I also forgot to add boys state to my list…idk if that means anything at all but i figure i might as well put it in there

Well, hopefully you’ll get into at least a few of those schools, but I would really suggest some more match type schools just to broaden your opportunities. Maybe some good LAC’s and schools like Tufts, Emory, Duke and Vandy.

Most Ivies don’t have combined med programs. You might add Rice to your list.
